Volunteers Fred Ferrell, left, a retired Marine, and Randy Gratz, a retired police officer from the Hawaii Police Department, work on a Douglas C-47 Skytrain in Hangar 79 of the Pacific Aviation Museum at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The museum's staff is restoring the C-47 to be part of the exhibit depicting World War II paratrooper designated aircraft. The exhibit is slated to go on display by spring of 2014.
