1936. The completed Zillierbach dam was 170m long, 45m high and 30m thick at the base. A feat of German engineering, the Zillierbach Dam is in East Hartz in Saxony-Anholt, Germany. The dam was built between 1934 and 1936 on the Zillierbach Stream. It has been modernised since this time, but these photos chart aspects of the original construction. Original images were little more than snapshots.
