Ancient Egyptian arched stele of god Bes in panther skin , 664-525 BC, 26th dynasty, glazed earthenware. The Louvre Museum inv E 10954. Bes is depicted with wings and tail of bird, standing, phallus erect, holding sign Ankh, ouas scepter , panther skin, sandals, overwhelming in lower panel snakes; dog; turtle; crocodile; scorpion; hippopotamus; lion (these animals are in line and surrounded by a snake biting its tail-the body of Bès is covered with eyes of Horus.
