Commence sowing the extra early varieties as early as the ground can be worked in February or IMarcli ; continue for a succession every two weeks'lintil June, then discontinuing until the middle of August, when a good crop may be secured by sowing the extra early and early sorts for fall use. They should be kept clean and earthed up twice during the growth. The wrinkled varieties' are not as hardy as the small round sorts, aud if planted early should have a dry soil, or they are liable to rot in the ground ; they are, however, the sweetest and best-flavored varieties. The dwarf varieties are best suited for small gardens or for forcing, planted in rows 1 foot apart. Fackets of all varieties of Peas at 10 cts. each. Add for postag^e on Peas 8 cts per pint, 15 cts. per quart. Larger quantities seut by express or freight at purchaser's expense. Nott's Excelsior. One of the best of recent in- troduction, an improvement on American Wonder, being more vigorous and prolific, with large pods and more peas.
