Warsaw, Poland. 27th Jan, 2017. The 12th annual International Holocaust Remembrance Day was commemorated on January 27 2017. In Warsaw, Poland, local and foreign governmental dignitaries attended a ceremony of remembrance of in front of the Monument of the Ghetto Heroes statue. Survivors and relatives of survivors of the Holocaust also gathered to pay their respects. International Holocaust Remembrance Day is held on the same day as the anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi Death Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1945.
