In the centre of the painting Lorelei stripped to the waist with a lyre and a robe wrapped around her waist in a cliff scenery, on the left a mariner climbing up to her. Signed and dated on the lower left. Surface slightly crackled, in a gilt trim frame. Size of the picture 50 x 62 cm, framed 59 x 70 cm. Suhrlandt came from Upper Bavaria, was a student of Scheffer in Paris and member of the academies in Kopenhagen and St. Petersburg.
