Engraving of Jacques Le Fèvre (c 1650 - 1716) the French Roman Catholic theologian and controversialist lecturing at the Sorbonne, one of the world's first universities. Le Fèvre became archdeacon of Lisieux and vicar-general of the Archbishopric of Bourges. In 1674 he received the doctorate in theology from the Sorbonne.
