Members of the Navy, the Arctic Submarine Laboratory, the Alaska Air National Guard and various contractors began moving equipment and supplies from Deadhorse, Alaska, to a temporary ice camp on an ice flow in the Arctic Ocean March 1, in support of Ice Exercise (ICEX) 2016.
