Livistona eastonii (Mitchell Plateau Fan Palm) is endemic to the remote Mitchell Plateau (Ngauwudu) in the far north of the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The eponymous national park covers the plateau which is home to the Wunambal people. Seasonal fires are common especially in the build-up to the wet season when dry lightning strikes are frequent.
