The Grands Magasins Dufayel is a former department store opened in 1856 on rue de Clignancourt in Paris by Jacques François Crespin (1824-1888) under the name Palais de la Nouveauté. Aimed at the working classes, it was taken over after the death of its founder by one of his employees, Georges Dufayel.
