They may be planted any time in the fall, in good garden soil, about 3 inches deep and 3 or 4 inches apart ; they may also be grown in pots or glasses, sometimes grown in ornamental pots, shaped like a hedgehog, when the bulbs are inserted in small holes about 1 inch apart. When in bloom, they are very effective for house dec- oration. Per Doz.
