Liverpool, Merseyside, UK 15th May, 2015 Giant 'Waterfront' Duck at Princes Dock, on the Liverpool duck trail. The first ducks on the Liverpool Duck Trail, commissioned by AquaDucked, have been positioned around the Waterfront, Liverpool One, and The Albert Dock. Twenty in total will be positioned around the city Centre for the LightNight event. They are painted to mark a ‘Liverpool first’, achievements which have been recognized as a world first.

The life ducks are being created as a tourist attraction throughout the city of Liverpool and as a charity fundraiser. The ducks have been painted to commemorate themed on events in history that Liverpool was the first to achieve. Liverpool constructed the first dock in the world, the first lifeboat station, the first school for the deaf, the first rugby club, the first steel ship, the first purpose built football ground, the first hovercraft service, the first cancer research centre, etc.
