Herman Ridder (March 5, 1851 - November 1, 1915) was a prominent German-American newspaper publisher and politician. Ridder had three surviving sons, Bernard, Joseph, and Victor who would become part of an American newspaper dynasty helping to build one of the nation's largest newspaper chains Knight Ridder.
