The latter is distilled offand the residue is converted into the sulphate by treating with sul-phuric acid, Hydroxylamine is also prepared by boiling potassiumhydroxylamine disulphonate with water,2N(0H) (SOj^K)g +4HgO=(NHgOH)2S04+SH2S04+KgS04 The potassium sulphate is removed by crystallization.
