The average attend-ance has been about seventeen. The reorganization thisyear resulted in Bro. Brubaker continuing as superin-tendent and Sister Brubaker as teacher of the BibleClass. ^,. Cyrus Bucbei DEATH OF ELD. CYRUS BUCHEREld. Cyrus Bucher, son of Ezra and Elizabeth Bucher,was born July 28, 1845, near Cornwall, Lebanon County,Pa., and died athis home, in As--toria, 111., Jan. 21,1921, aged seven-ty-five years, five-months and twen-ty-four days. At the age ofseventeen he be-gan teaching inthe public schoolsand taught forseven terms. Afterhis marriage t oBarbara Dohner,he settled on afarm near theHeidelberg the spring of1868 he and hiswife united withthe Church of theBrethren. In 1870Sister Bucher died,and later on hemarried SisterLeah Gibble. In1881 he was elect-ed to the deacons office. In 1883 he was elected to theministry, being ordained as elder in 1904. He served thechurch two years as deacon and thirty-seven years asminister—sixteen of these as elder. He was a man ofstrong convictions and ready to stand for them at alltimes.
