Entitled: "The actor Bando Mitsugoro in the role of Satsuma no kami Tadanori." Satsuma-no-kami Tadanori, was a member of the Taira clan mentioned in the Tale of the Heike. The Tale of the Heike is an epic account compiled long prior 1330 of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan at the end of the 12th century in the Genpei War (1180-1185).
