A Tibetan cleaning caterpillar fungus on the main street of Litang, western Sichuan. Literally translated from Tibetan as "summer grass, winter worm", the fungus, highly prized for its medicinal qualities, is only found at altitudes greater than 4000m and harvested for two months of the year. Thought to boost stamina and sex drive, the rare fungus is worth an entire year's wage to many Tibetan pickers, who sell the worm for $2 a piece, and which is later sold for up to $30.
