His principal orchids now are Cattleya Trianse, den- drobiums and cypripediums, but he still has some Cattleya labiata. Penn this week is pushing plant trade and has a splendid show of pot plants. Henry Penn is active in behalf of the Hebrew relief committee for sufferers in the war zone, and many local flo- rists have subscribed liberally toward it. J. W. Foote, of Reading, is sending in a nice lot of schizanthus. His car- nations are always fine. Pink Delight, White Wonder and Beacon are his three favorites. P. J. Donahoe, from the Montgomery Co., is getting splendid shipments of Hadley, Ophelia, Russell, Killarney and White Killarney. His Beauties from Scarboro, N. Y., are not coming in quite so abundantly now, but the qual- ity remains fine. William A. Riggs, of Auburndale, is marketing fine batches of Pink Pearl rhododendrons, azaleas, Tausendschon roses and bulbous flowers in pans. Hia lilies for Easter are in prime condition. Richard D. Kimball, of Waban, is bringing in a nice lot of annual lu- pines; also dimorphothecas, calendulas and snapdragons. The Hanover Greenhouses, Hanover, Mass., do carnations particularly well.
