Stibnite, also called antimonite, is a sulphide of the element antimony, chemical formula Sb2S3. It is an orthorhombic, lead-grey mineral with a metallic lustre. Here displayed are slender, columnar crystals that are striated over their length. Both more massive, as well as needle-like crystals are also common. Stibnite is mined for the production of antimony, which is used in the electronics industry. Actual length of these crystals varies between 3 and 8 cm
