Spraying Machines.—On all truck and fruit farms spraying machinesare a necessity. The size and kind of outfit will depend on the size ofbusiness and character of plants to be sprayed. Wherever there are morethan eight or ten acres of orchard, a power sprayer mounted on wheelsis recommended. Those which develop power from the wheels are cheap-est, but are not so satisfactory for spraying large trees. A high-gradegasoline engine and a good tank for compressed air provide a uniformpressure under all conditions. Good work demands a pressure of from.
