We have been unable to learn just when he came, thename of the ship he came on; or the maiden name of Joane, his 28, 1784, Col. Jonathan White4 (150), of Leominster, told hisson, Dea. James White5 (554), of Heath, Mass.; (and he made a noteof it, with the date in his account book) : That his great grandfather came from the west part of England;that he had two sons, Thomas2, who settled in Wenham, and Josiah2,who settled on his fathers estate in Lancaster, and his son, Josiah, Jr.,lived on the same estate, and his son Jonathan in Leominster, and hissons, James and Asaph, then lived in Charlemont. It is signed JamesWhite, and he adds This account I had from my father, this day. It was copied from Dea. James Whites account book by F. (8085) in 1848. Au
