This material is almosttwice as strong as the pipe out of which flag poles are usuallymade. The separate socket is a great convenience because it iseasily driven into the ground instead of requiring a hole tobe dug. The pole itself is dropped into the socket and when-ever necessary can be lifted out, The poles are in sections that telescope into each other,making double strength at the joints.
