PORTSMOUTH, Va. (Jan. 12, 2018) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Patrick Gravel, right, guides the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course participants into a smoke-filled building to a designated patient safe zone. TCCC participants were required to triage, treat and navigate simulated patients to safety during the training. TCCC is a course required by the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery for all corpsmen that helps prepare them to respond to the injuries in theater and on the battlefield.
