The best effects are obtainedby the use of a simple, subdued treatment applied to the exterior of the bath and other fixturesto which a decoration is applicable. The same treatment should be carried throughout the room, and if the treatment be wiselychosen and well applied, the result will be so highly pleasing as to add greatly to the value andcharm of the room. The exteriors of all Baths, Receptors, Sitz and Foot Baths, unless otherwise specified, are paintedwith one coat of paint only. The process of exterior finishing is of such a nature that it can only bedone at the factory, inasmuch as the casting must be dressed perfectly smooth—a character of ^\orkwhich requires special skill and facilities.
