Compare thebays on the front gable in the 2ndstory. On the imitation house thebay is all out of proportion and dis-figures the looks of the house asmuch as a wart on the nose of abeautiful woman. This may be ahomely comparison but it is nonemphatic. The sleeping porchon the front corner of the imitation, instead of being 7 or 8 feetwide as the original plans show it,nly 3 feet wide. It certainly isnot ornamental and is of no practicaluse whatever and is merely a placefor snow and ice to gather in thewinter time. The house is the same The Imitation Plan. BUNGALOWS, COTTAGES, RESIDENCES width but it looks to be only half as wide, for the reason that everythingis out of proportion and was not properly planned before the contract waslet to the builder. This imitation house cost more money than the house correctly built,and owing to its hideous appearance, faulty planning and construction, itsowner would have to take $1200 to $1500 less for it than would the ownerof the first. This is certainly a striking illustration of a man being pennywise and pound foolish. The man who purchased his plans is delightedwith his home and has had numerous opportunities to sell at a good profitwhile the other man is dissatisfied, never has had an opportunity to selland has even offered his home at a sacrifice. This is an experience, unfor-tunately, which thousands of
