Its upright habit admits of close planting and it will attain full growth when set only 15 or 16 in. apart. The growing of many plantain a small space is a decided advantage when room is scarce. We can furnish this in white and pirik. Price, pkt., white, lOc; pink, 10c.; mixed, 10c. NEW ASTER "SINENSIS" THE TRUE ORIGINAL TYPE FROM CHINA 587 We especially recommend this variety, and when once it becomes known have no doubt but that it will be very largely grown for cut flowers. The plants form elegant branching bushes about 15 inches high, well furnished with rich dark green foliage, and producing an abundance of large, handsome flowers, 3 to 4 inches across, having a single row of delicate pale mauve ray florets, broad and symmetrical, and golden centre disc. It is indeed a plant of great beauty, quite distinct from any of the single Asters now in commerce, which in comparison with it are coarse and weedy. As a first-class border plant we can strongly recommend it, and as a cut flower it will soon find its way to the market. Per 10c.
