Maximilien Robespierre was a French lawyer, politician, and one of the best-known and most influential figures of the French Revolution. "The famous French Revolutionary and dictator, Maximilien de Robespierre, also nicknamed “the incorruptible” was born in Arras on 6 May 1758. Built in 1730, his house sheltered him from 1787 to 1789 when he was a lawyer in Arras. Robespierre was guillotined in Paris on 28 July 1794 during the French Revolution (1789-1799)."
