The demand by loggers through-out the Coast for this particular en-gine has been so great that it has beenalmost impossible to supply the de-mand. J. M. Theirproduct has been sold in the North-ern territory on the one hand, and asfar south as Nicaragua on the of their general increase inbusiness they contemplate a gen-eral enlargement and are nowengaged in installing considerablenew machinery, two car loadsof which recently arrived fromthe East. Their increase last yearover the previous year amounted tofully 20 per cent and it will probably states that these engines are sold fast-er than they can be made, and that helooks forward to a very big years busi-ness for 1900. It is establishments like this wnichgive very great prestige to the manu-facturing industries of Seattle and givethe city a high reputation among allclasses of people. The foundry belong-ing to the company is one of the fineston the Coast and is fitted out with ev-ery modern convenience for the han-dling of all
