A pair of German Gothic gauntlets, circa 1470/80 Slender, delicately worked gauntlets with lavish fluting. Finger guard sliding on two lames with separately chased finger segments. Knuckle guard with pointed studs, the tips partly worn through by cleaning. The metacarpus sliding on two lames with fan-shaped grooves and multiple fluting on the sides. Pointed cuffs with rich, reverse fluting and engraved decorative stripes, the edges angularly struck outwards.
