This fpecies feeds on nellies, chickweed, plantain, grafs, & Caterpillars very much referable thofe of the large Garden TigerMoth*, except in ; they change into chryfalis about the middleof April, and appear in the winged ftate the latter end of May. We have not found this Infeft fo plenty as the Ruby Tiger Motht,and it is infinitely more fcarce than the great Garden Tiger Moth,figured in the early part of this Work.
