A Spanish left-hand dagger,circa 1680 Single-edged blade,double-edged over its forward half with cut back and long openwork ricasso. Finely cut guard with distinctive flanged edges and openwork scrolling foliage. The inside of the guard with reinforcing sheet decorated en suite. The grip and pommel also embellished with openwork and cut scrolling foliage. The surfaces with patina and fine pitting. Length 58 cm.
