The debate was held at Andover, and after a spirited contest,Exeter proved herself the superior. John Wicks Cooke, Harold StrongGulliver, and David Nelson Beach, Jr., have this year been chosen torepresent Andover in this contest. All these are members of 1912,and we all hope that at last the tide of battle will turn in favor ofAndover and that the class may crown her worthy achievements indebating with a victory over our

As to the future of debating at Andover, no one can say. Viewedfrom the present, the outlook is bright. The news that next year weshall have a faculty member, who will devote his efforts towards fos-tering the art of public speaking and argumentation, is hopeful the classes that follow 1912, we can only say, Do your part as wehave done ours, and all will be well.
