EGG- PLANT. One ounce will produce about 1,000 plants. The Egg-plant will thrive well in any good garden soil, but will re- pay good treat- ment. The seed should be sown in hotbeds or a warm greenhouse in March or April, and the plants, when about an inch high, potted in 2-inch pots. Plant out about June I, "2% feet apart.
