Mount Moram was named after landscape artist. Thomas Moran, who travelled north of the Teton Mountains to Yellowstone with the Hayden Expedition in 1871. His sketches and watercolours helped popularise Yellowstone as the world's first national park. To the far right of the shot stands Bivouac Peak at 3299 metres.
