5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 29, 2017) Cpl. Timothy P. Steed participates in a game night hosted by the Morale, Welfare and Recreation committee on the mess decks aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50). Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
