Allison John who was the first person in the UK to have four life saving transplants. Allison has received a kidney, liver, lungs and a heart. Her father donated one of his kidneys. Her first operation was in September 1995 at Addenbrookes Hospital. Ms John suffers from cystic fibrosis - an inherited disease which is present at birth and is characterised by a tendency to chronic lung infections and an inability to absorb fats and other nutrients from food.
