Mr. William Zimmerman was recognized for his service during a ceremony at the South Carolina Army National Guard Armory in Graniteville, , Nov. 4, 2016. The South Carolina National Guard honored Zimmerman as its oldest living retiree at age 97. Zimmerman served for more than 34 years, which included service during World War II.
