In hot water heating jobs the valves shouldhave a brass plate with an arrow fitted at thetop of the handwheel, which indicates whetherthe valve is open or closed. This type valveopens or closes in a quarter of a turn. Discsof hot water valves should always have asmall 3/^ diameter hole through them to allowwater to flow through the radiator to preventthe possibility of freezing. Hot Water Valve.
