Hurricane damage. Police officers dsicussing a plan of action after surveying the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike, which struck the southeast Texas coast on 13th September, 2008. Nearly every building on the east side of this town's seawall was destroyed. Hurricane Ike is the costliest hurricane in Texas history and the second-deadliest hurricane since 1972.
