The Whortleberry ( Vaccinium myrtillns), also called Bilberry,the Black Whortleberry (Vaccinium resinosinn), and the LowBlueberry (Vacciniutn tenellum), are varieties of the sameshrub. The first named grows in moist lands from two to sixfeet high, and the last mentioned grows in beds or buncheson dry hills, from six to twelve inches high.
