Guildford,Surrey Monday 11th April 2016 Police have this evening have confirmed that they believe that they have found missing Guildford Man Grant Broster. Dozens of emergency services staff, including police and paramedics, rushed to the scene on Woking Road in Guildford. Police have this evening confirmed that they have recovered a body from the rear of property on Stroughton Road in Guildford this evening. Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the River Wey in Guildford on Monday evening. Officers could be seen running along the bank of the river at around Police and fire crews in a boat recovered a body from the rear of the property and it was loaded into a private ambulance after shocked residents called 999 after making the gruesome discovery. Surrey Police the evening have issued the following statement: A body, believed to be that of missing kayaker Grant Broster, has been found in the River Wey at Guildford. Officers were called to the area near the Waterside Centre just after 6pm on Monday, 11 April after a report that a man’s body had been found. Although formal identification has not yet taken place Mr Broster’s family have been notified. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Broster at this difficult time. ©UKNIP
