PORT MORESBY, Papua New Guinea (April 17, 2017) Lt. Robert Beckmann, medical officer aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45), gives a tour of the ship’s medical ward to staff and family members of the Embassy in Port Moresby as part of the ship’s visit to Papua New Guinea. Comstock, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (11th MEL), is in Port Moresby to conduct activities and training to enhance United States-Papua New Guinea relations as the two nations work together for a stable and prosperous Asia-Pacific region.
