View of a forest of dead trees on the banks of the Cowl Fork River in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa. These were invasive Gum trees, which were ring barked as part of a conservation effort. The Drakensberg Park were declared a Unesco World Heritage site in 2000 to protect the natural habitats, but also due to its cultural significant since it has the largest concentration of rock paintings in Sub Sahara Africa.
