Food for the International Space Station (ISS), packaged in bags. The food, including creamed spinach and candy coated peanuts, is dehydrated to decrease its mass and volume for flight, and to keep it fresh. The ISS is a joint effort by several national space agencies, including NASA. It orbits Earth at an altitude of around 350 kilometres. Photographed at the Space Food Systems Laboratory at Johnson Space centre (JSC), Houston, Texas.
