Each year more than 15 000 competitors make the annual pilgrimage to the Show and submit around 30 000 entries for judging in over 40 competitions Everything from livestock to domestic animals and horticulture to arts and crafts are judged at the Show with other competitions and events including rodeo showjumping sheep dog trials woodchop and much more Sheep and Fleece Merino Meat and Dual Purpose and also Fleece are judged at the Sydney Royal each year Each year the Show plays host to the Sheep and Wool Showcase promoting the best that the sheep and wool industries have to offer The Showcase features wool fashion parades sheep shearing demonstrations working yard demonstrations and entertainment as well as educational and commercial stands all directly related to the sheep and wool industry
