XEW TIMALIXE BIRDS FROM THE EAST INDIESBy harry C. OBERHOLSER \arious investigations in the ornithological collection of the UnitedStates National Museum have resulted in the discovery of a numberof undescribed forms. These birds are chiefly the result of Dr. W. indefatigable collecting activity, and are mostly from theEast Indies and the Malay Peninsula, with a few from outlyinglocalities. Those described in the present pamphlet belong to thefamily Timaliidae. All measurements are in millimeters, and have been taken asexplained in the authors previous papers. Names of colors are basedon JMr. Robert Ridgways recently published Color Standards andColor Nomenclature. Furthermore, the writers thanks are, as always, due Dr. Charles for numerous courtesies.
