Martin's hole

2,600 m. There are two days in the spring and summer in Elm, Switzerland when a special spectacle takes place shortly before sunrise. The sun shines through the Martin's Hole directly onto the Church in Elm in the valley below. the hole is 22x19meter wide. The whole area here is an UNESCO World Heritage Site "Swiss Tectonic Arena" a place where once older rock layers pushed themselves up over younger rock layers. The moon is also visible through the Martin's Hole at certain intervals.
