They are hardy and prolific layers of large, white eggs. For table purposses they are among the best, as they have small bones and the flesh is tender and deli- cious. They are non-sitters, possess the fifth toe, very hardy, vigorous, rapid growers, free from disease and light feeders; as they may be fed at a small cost as compared with some of the larger breeds. They are of a medium size and of a mottled white plumage, black and white intermixed, the black â slightly predominating.
