The archaeological site El Ixtépete or Iztépete is located south of the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. The protected area is 13 hectares, but it is thought that the total area of the settlement, including housing areas, was much larger, extending throughout the area of El Colli and Santa Ana Tepetitlan. The site contains three archaeological structures, highlighting among them a pyramidal basement 44 meters from the base by 6 meters high. This foundation consists of 5 construction stages and two extensions.
