Brynbella, House, Tremeirchion, St Asaph, Denbighshire. South facade seen across parkland. Italian villa built by Hester Lynch Piozzi and her 2nd husband Gabriel Piozzi after their marriage in 1784. Hester was known as Mrs Thrale by her friend Dr Johnson. Bachegraig, now Bach y Graig, Hester’s childhood home, was at the bottom of the hill to the south south west. She is buried in nearby Corpus Christs church, which she and her husband renovated. The house is just outside AONB, Privately owned, but garden occasionally open to public.
